Club Dress Code

The intent of The Summit’s dress code is to preserve the genteel tradition of golf with an eye toward modern fashion, not trends.

Therefore, all appropriate attire is to be worn in traditional golf fashion.  Shirts are to be worn tucked in, caps worn forward and apparel to be tailored.

The dress code applies to the entire Club property.

Shirts must have collars, mocknecks or turtlenecks and sleeves. Sweaters, pullovers, jackets, and rain gear. Spikeless or soft-spiked footwear to be worn on the golf course and practice facilities.

Prohibited Dress - Sleeveless or collarless shirts, fishnet shirts, no shirts, shirts, turtlenecks, sweater or pullover, jackets, rain gear and caps with emblems or corporate logos, other than golf related, are not considered acceptable attire.  Sweat shirts and sweat pants, warm-ups, denim jeans in any colour, cut-offs, cargo pants or cargo shorts, gym shorts or any other non-tailored shorts are not acceptable.

Knee length stockinsg or sockettes, as sold in the Pro Shop, are acceptable. Spikeless or soft-spiked footwear to be worn on the golf course and practice facilities.

Prohibited Dress - Short shorts or skirts, fishnet tops, T-shirts, shirts which are both sleeveless and collarless, belly shirts or crop tops, shirts, turtlenecks, sweater or pullover, jackets, rain gear and caps with emblems or corporate logos, other than golf related, are not considered acceptable attire. INTERMEDIATE AND  JUNIORS The above dress regulations apply.

Caps and Hats

Caps and hats with emblems or logos, other than golf related, are not considered acceptable attire for any member. Ladies are allowed to wear hats, other than caps, in the clubhouse lounge. Men are not permitted to wear hats in the dining areas inside the clubhouse.  Hats and caps must be worn in the style they were intended.

Spikes

Shoes with metal spikes are not permitted on Club property. Appropriate footwear must be worn in the Clubhouse at all times.

Mobile Communication Devices

Personal communication devices such as cellular telephones, web browsers and text messagers are not to be used by members or their guests in the Clubhouse, on the Golf Course, or on Practice Facilities.
Carrying a de-activated cellular telephone for emergency use only while on the course is a sensible and acceptable precaution.
